Wild Man Creek Virgin River Book 12 Robyn Carr 9780778329312 Books

The Virgin River Series (not just Wild Man Creek) is a wonderful series. If you like courage, honor, community, family, love and friendship. If none of that appeals to you, then you would most likely waste your time. These books are, at the core, American novels. Brotherhood of ex-Marines, ex-Army with commitment to country, community, and family.

The central characters are strong, revolving around two retired Marines and their families and the bar/restaurant they run. Every book adds characters, but continuing stories of characters we have already met are interleaved -- creating a wonderful universe with a glimpse of someone who might become important later on. The out-of-the way location brings together people whose paths would not ordinarily have crossed.

Beautifully written with engaging characters and stories. I started with a sample of Books 1-4 and am now nearly half-way through the entire series. A definite recommendation.

Wild Man Creek Virgin River Book 12 Robyn Carr 9780778329312 Books Reviews

As with all Robyn Carr books and series, they are great stories, and well written. Worth reading more than once. I have the Virgin river, Thunder Point and the Valley Trilogy. And have read them all several times.
It was a great book and you feel so at home because you know all of the characters. I look forward to each and every book on this series. Great writing g and so descriptive, you feel you are right there! Love this story with Jill and Colin, so caring and stubborn, both of them, but willing to give up for each other, so the both of them could have happy fulfilling lives. Very good reading, once again.
As a fan of Robyn Carr, I found this novel to be just as well written as her previous books. She has a way of pulling you in and it is hard to put one of her books down once you have started it. Highly recommend!
Thoroughly entertaining

Stand-alone that is easy to follow and difficult to put down. No violence or drag-you-down drama.

Opposites attract with this thought-provoking romance. Believable characters with distinct personalities and emotional baggage. Informative and snarky dialogue.

I will continually re-read this series.
#12 in Carr's Virgin River series, and one of my favorites.

A lot of the VR characters are starting over; that's how they end up in this remote small town in Northern California. And this was no exception the hero has recently overcome an horrible accident that has changed his life on several fronts, and the heroine is playing a waiting game after an huge personal betrayal, deciding whether to start something new or pick up the old life.

These are intense themes, but this book had a fun quality to it. Both characters were so engaging and at heart, people that really love life. They are mourning the old, but inherently capable of loving whatever new they create, too. The positive energy had me smiling the entire time I was reading. Fabulous.

And personally, Jill's love of her garden and start of her new business had me craving veggies in a big way (lol).

Because this is Carr and Virgin River, there was also funny and touching dialogue and character interactions, and the start or continuation of several other story lines. HIGHLY recommended.
Loved the Riordan brothers. After Colin' s helicopter crashed, he spent months in recovery then in therapy, not just for his injuries but for his addiction to pain killers and the ensuing depression. He heads to Virgin River to rest, paint, and decide what he wants to do for the great of his life. He meets Jillian who recently lost her job thanks to a hurtful betrayal by the man she was dating. She' s renting a house and gardening up a storm. Somehow the two of them find each other and get involved, but Colin' s made it clear he was leaving in six months and Jillian knows she has to let him go for both their sakes. New characters are introduced and you get to catch up on most of your favorites along the way. Another winner for sure!
I've enjoyed all the books from this series and this one is not exception.

Jillian Matlock is smart, eager and at the top of her career path; she's in love with a man who coincidentally works for her but that's about to change, one of them can move into another position and then they can announce that they are involved. Imagine her extreme surprise when she is called in by her boss because a sexual harrassment suit has been filed against her!

Jillian is asked to take some time off and she does by returning to Virgin River a small town where she and friends stayed for a few days at the end of their vacation. Jillian intends to rest and think of other options but while there she sees a wonderful victorian house with a lot of acerage and in her usual impulsive way decides that it's just the place she wants to stay for the summer.

Colin Riordan is in Virgin River recuperating from a devastating helicopter crash, he deals with the pain and helps his healing through painting wildlife. He meets Jillian when she sees him on her property. Their interaction is great!

As usual Ms. Carr brings back all the characters from her original books and it just like a family reunion. This is a great read! No demands just a wonderful story. Enjoy!
